A Great Opportunity

I am the Director of Recruiting for the MS Program in Computer Science at Maharishi University of Management. It's my job to get students to enroll, so you can take that into account when you read this. But I love my job and completely believe in this program and University. Here's why:

You can earn a Master of Science in Computer Science from an
accredited US university and get two years experience working in a paid practical training job at a US company--and enter the program will very low initial payment ($5,000US average). The rest of the program costs are paid through your earnings.

You start study on our
beautiful campus in Fairfield, Iowa. It really is a friendly, safe, and happy place. You will study with professors with top academic credentials and recent industry experience and get thoroughly trained for the US work environment.

After 7-8 months you are eligible to find a practical training position at a company anywhere in the US. You can negotiate your own salary. We train you to do this and help you prepare a killer resume. The average salary of our students is about $57,000 per year. Our students have worked at 800 companies throughout the USA. The largest employer of our students is Microsoft.

AFTER you get a job, you take out a loan to repay the balance of your program expenses. No co-signer is required. The loans average about $25,000, and that pays your on-campus housing and meals and $100/month stipend while you are here, health insurance for the duration of the program, and all your tuition. You make monthly payments of about $1,200 a month. With a $57,000/year salary, your montly take home pay (after taxes) is about $3,500. With average living expenses of $1,750, you will have plenty to pay the loan and have some savings. If you get laid off, the university will even cover your loan payments if necessary.

The US job market has been challenging in the past several months, but there is every indication that things are picking up. In the past month, 30 of our students have found jobs.

If you have a bachelor's degree in computer science and a B- or better grade point average (2.7 on a 0-4.0 scale), knowledge of data structures, object oriented programming (JAVA or C languages) some math and good mastery of spoken English, you may be eligible.
